Usage and Activity
How is this different from Games and Interactions found in your eLearning Template Library?
Some of the games and interactions available in the Interaction Builder are also available as flash/HTML 5 templates in the eLearning Template Library. Files in the Library come with the source code.
The Interaction Builder is for users that don’t have the Flash/HTML 5 editing software and want to build simple games and interactions. If you want to have the source files (.fla) and be able to customize and change everything, then you should look at our eLearning Template Library.
Do I need to subscribe to both the Interaction Builder and the Template Library?
No, they are 2 different tools/products. The Interaction Builder provides an easy way to build games and interactions online with a simple editor. You then download the final packaged files.
The Template Library contains 1000's of assets that you can use to build online courses. Some of the assets are games and interactions. You can download the source files (flash and HTML 5) in the library and then edit them. You must have Flash software or be able to edit HTML 5 files to use them. Since you have the source files you can change everything if you'd like. (The Interaction Builder is an easy way to edit these files online but you must stay within the "template design".)
Is there a download limit each month?
No. Create and download as many interactions as you’d like to.
Is there any special programming that I need to know?
No. Just build your interaction on the website.
Once I create and download an interaction is it still “connected” to your tool?
No. Once you download an interaction it is a separate .swf Flash file (or HTML 5 zip file). You can put it anywhere. It is completely independent of our tool.
Do I have to pay more to get new interactions?
No. Any new interactions that we add are available to every user.
Can I use these interactions in courses that I sell?
Is there a trial version that I can use?
Yes. You can use the entire tool without ever paying a dime. You can even download the interaction that you build. However, if you don’t sign-in the downloaded interaction will have our logo watermark. Go ahead and try out everything and download the interaction to test in your eLearning course. Then when you’re happy, come sign-up.
Do I need to own Flash to use your interactions?
No. Just input your information into the website editor. When done just click the download button and your interaction will be a single Flash (.swf) file that you can use in any eLearning software.
Can I get the Flash source file for my interaction?
Sorry this site is not built with that functionality. If you are interested in purchasing eLearning Flash templates with the source file check out our eLearning Template Library.
What are the support options that you offer?
You can email us anytime for assistance or check out our tutorial videos.
Can I save my interactions and edit them later?
Yes. Once you log-in you’ll save a “My Saved Files” tab and then will allow you to edit, copy, and download previously created interactions.

Do I need to pay based on how many employees we have?

Do you have a monthly subscription?
No, just annual.
Will these work with my eLearning Development software?
There are 2 types of downloads from the Builder: Flash and HTML 5.
Downloaded files are a single .swf Flash file. They will work with any tool that imports Flash. You may have specific settings in your software that you’d need to adjust to ensure proper playback.
We offer 2 versions of flash when you download an interaction: Actionscript 2 and 3. You need to determine which version works best with your tool. Review our information below and also your tool’s documentation.
When you download an HTML 5 file you get a single zip file. Authoring tools import/use HTML 5 zips files in various ways. Here are some options:
- User clicks a link in the course to open the game/interaction in a separate browser window (Put the downloaded zip files on a server and use that URL.)
- Use an iFrame or WebObject in the authoring tool to display the game/interaction. (Put the downloaded zip files on a server and use that URL.)
- Put the downloaded zip directly into an LMS.
- Place the files on a server and view the game/interaction on a website.
Will these work on mobile devices?
We have been creating HTML 5 versions of our games and interactions. There is a icon on each file thumbnail that indicates whether the HTML 5 version is live. Each month we launch updated HTLM 5 versions.
Will these work in Articulate Presenter (’05 and ’09)?
Yes but only Flash Actionscript 2 works. Click the Flash Movie button and choose these settings:
- advance when user clicks next
- play independently of slide
Note: When you insert flash files into Articulate and then close and reopen the PowerPoint file, typically the flash file will appear as a large white box. Don’t worry the file is still there. For some reason this is just how flash files appear in Articulate when you re-open the PPT.
Yes, but since Articulate Presenter publishes as Flash you should just use the Flash version of the interactions/games.
Will these work in Articulate Storyline?
Yes. Use the Actionscript 3 version when downloading. The insert them into your course using the Flash button on the Insert tab.
Yes. Unzip the downloaded zip file onto a server. Then either open the game/interaction in a separate browser window from the course or in a WebObject. Note: You could also copy game/interaction files into a new folder in your published course files. Then instead of pointing to a server in the WebObject you could just point to that folder path in the published course files.
Will these work in Unison and ProForm?
Yes. Use the external .swf template page. Both Actionscript 2 and 3 will work.

Will these work in iSpring Presenter?
Yes. Just click the Flash button and find the downloaded interaction.
Note: After inserting the interaction, play the PowerPoint in SlideShow mode. You can then click on the interaction and that is how it will appear in the course thumbnail outline.

Will these work in Lectora?
Do I need a special proprietary plug-in to make it work?
Do I need to install anything on my computer to use the Interaction Builder?
No. Just log into the website to create your interactions. No software to install.
What are the system requirements to use your interaction builder?
Just an internet connection and web-browser (with the Flash plugin. Over 99% of browsers have this.). We are not a software…just a website.
What web-browsers are supported?
Any browser that can view content with Flash Player 8 or newer.
Are there any supporting files when I download the interaction?
No. The interaction is just one single Flash .swf file or an HTML 5 zip.
Is the downloaded file Flash Actionscript 2 or 3?
You have the option to download either one. Refer to your software’s documentation to determine which version will work best.
Will this work on my Mac?
Yes. You just need a web-browser.
What audio formats are supported for upload into interactions?

Become a Reseller
Do you have a reseller program?
Yes. Contact us for more information.
SCORM / AICC
Are these files AICC and/or Scorm compliant?
Our interactions and games can be embedded into any eLearning software. That authoring software could then be published as AICC and/or SCORM.
Flash format: Our flash games/interactions will not interfere with SCORM communication. However, they do not pass scores to your LMS. They are meant to be used to add interactivity and as “knowledge checks” not as final scored tests that need to be tracked.
HTML 5 format: Yes they will pass a SCORM completion status and score. You will need to contact us for the SCORM wrapper files.
Subscription Cancellation / Termination
For full details refer to our Terms.
Will my past interactions still work if I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Once an interaction is downloaded it is completely independent of our tool. It will still work. (However, you will not be able to edit the saved version unless you are a current member.)
What happens to my saved files if I cancel my subscription?
We will store the data for at least 3 months. If you re-subscribe then you will have access to all previously saved files. We don’t guarantee that data in cancelled accounts will remain for more than 3 months.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You may cancel at the end of any subscription cycle. (Annually or monthly depending on your plan.) Please note that we cannot prorate. Use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the pricing page.
